A 54 bead Mala is one that can be either carried in the pocket or wrapped around the wrist. It is twice the size of the 27ct and half the size of the 108ct: Some prefer this size Mala because it isn't as large as the 108ct yet has more of a presence than the 27ct pocket Mala.
